The range of a ZigBee motion sensor determines the distance which the sensor can detect movement. For example, a sensor with a range of 20 feet should be able to detect movement at 20 feet away. If you need to cover a large area, make sure the sensor has enough range to reach every corner of your home or office. This HomeKit-compatible motion sensor requires an Hub (HomePod, Apple TV or iPad) to be within range of it (around 20 feet maximum). I did find light readings from both sensors to be impressively close, within 1 or 2 lux of each other when they did differ. With either device, you’re reliant on the relevant hub, so it does depend on which you have (if you’ve got both, so much the better). The only current name brand Zigbee sensor I'm aware of that includes Lux are both the indoor and outdoor Philips Hue motion sensors.

We found that the device was extremely easy to install, and the instructions were very clear. Just follow the instructions in the app and you should have no problems.
