About this deal

It’s pure, perfect romance, wonderful setting, beautiful, privileged, slim, perfect people. You know who’s going to fall for whom and there’s no great surprises. Of course, there are some ‘bad guys’ but they are the ‘less perfect ones’. I finished the book because I said I would, but it’s just not my ‘cup of tea’. I really enjoyed this book and thought it was even better than the first book. It is a romance book, that had 2 parallel storylines. The novel’s characters contains the elegant and the rich. No no, it is not that superficial. They are smart as well just remember. Head up to the Place des Lices for lunch, the traditional central square where Provencal-style buildings glow in the sun, and pétanque players throw metallic balls down sandy pitches while sipping pastis liqueur . On market days, this is one of the best spots for observing local life. If time allows, visit the St-Tropez Citadel, a 16th-century fortress that attests to the town's historical role as a defensive spot along the coast. The Maritime museum in the former dungeon is also worth visiting. If you’re looking for the perfect summer holiday read, then you can’t go far wrong with ‘The Hotel On The Riviera’ Carol Kirkwood.

This was a very romantic and refreshing read after such a looooong winter! Carol really paints you into the landscapes in this novel and if you let yourself you can be transported to Greece and the French Riviera. Immediately the plot is clear but the predictability didn’t make it less enticing! Once I was hooked on the leading lady Ariana and the protagonist Gabriel – I could not wait to see where they’d take us… and they did not disappoint! This is for those time travelling romantics – Readers who enjoy this book will surely enjoy Carol’s first book Under A Greek Moon. Mercury, NSW, 4 Stars If you've got a week to explore the French Riviera, you'll have ample time to see the famed Mediterranean stretch of coastline in the south of France, and get a good sense of its highlights. You should also take some time to move inland, where a number of medieval villages perched high in the hills offer different perspectives on a region best-known for its beaches and high-end lifestyle. But how much time to spend in each place, and how to get from one point to the next? This guide takes the guesswork out of the equation, allowing you to make the most of your trip. As soon as I saw this book on Netgalley I knew I had to have it! I really enjoyed Carol Kirkwood's first book and I hoped this one would be as good. In fact it was even better! I was pleasantly suprised that the Theodosis family popped up again and that other family faces and places were in this latest novel. Next, spend a bit of time exploring the town itself, with its quiet streets and alleys, Provencal-style squares lined with warmly hued facades, and traditional shops. Next, visit one or more of the town's traditional markets, selling everything from flowers and olive oils to produce, cheeses, and local crafts, for a taste of local culture in Antibes.

Don't Miss

As the past finally catches up with them all, will this summer reveal a forgotten secret, and change their lives forever...? It may be the epitome of an English seaside resort in the summer months, but in winter the English Riviera exchanges its beach towels and sun cream for sleigh-bells and baubles. A well-written fairytale romance set amongst the rich-and-famous lifestyle of the French Riviera. The ‘secrets’ are not earth-shattering, but a fun, light summer holiday read nonetheless! Mopsy, VIC, 4 Stars

Carol is amazing at setting the scene, and you are transported to the French Riviera. The book is dripping with glamour and rich and famous stars are scattered throughout the book. The passion between Ariana and Gabriel is sizzling. The park boasts dramatic cliff sides punctuated by meandering sea "creeks" (calanques in French), as well as protected coves and beaches ideal for swimming, snorkeling, boating, and other activities. Numerous species of wild birds and fish thrive at the reserve, which became a national park in 2012. This would be a great read for a holiday, with its descriptions of the French Riviera and the Hollywood glamour epitomised by the Chappells. Carol, however, also lets us see that a life lived in the spotlight isn't as glamorous in reality. For holidaymakers looking to enjoy the beach life, the English Riviera will leave you spoilt for choice... For younger members of the family, organise a visit to see Father Christmas that they will remember forever. Every year the Dartmouth Steam Railway transforms itself into the magical Train of Lights. A Devon Winter Wonderland All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, full bathroom with complementary toiletry items, telephone, piped music, cable and satellite television, and safe deposit box (charge) wifi (charge). Include tea/coffee making facilities in all rooms. Food & Drink

On day three, you'll move inland to see two of the Riviera's stunning villages perchés (perched villages)—towns both built into precipitous hills and cliffsides during the medieval period, and now prized for their local art, culture, and architecture.
