The chapters where Nina is grieving were really well done. I felt Nina's pain. It was really the one time in the novel where I felt the story and connection. Nina Gregory is the third-generation of the famed Gregory family, owners of two of New York City’s most celebrated hotels. Her father—and her mother, when she was alive—were treated like royalty in the city, and Nina has been raised in that life, to know she’ll take over the company someday. She was always expected to behave the proper way, as if the spotlight was always on her.
Some enjoyed reading about these characters, especially Zach, and hope he gets his own story. This was a delightful read with tons of depth and heart in it. Readers found themselves adoring the heroine, and the hero grows into the guy she believed he could be. The way the story and character development add to all of it to make this an all around enjoyable read.

Rafael is a charismatic and handsome character, unlike anyone in Nina's life. Hers is a life of privilege, which she does not take lightly. She is dating her best friend Tim but begins to chafe at the life planned out for her. Overall though, I could still recommend this for readers who enjoy love triangles and blush worthy bedroom scenes! Don’t worry, it’s not that book by a megalomanical Austrian, but in fact a series of six autobiographical books published between 2009 and 2011 by the Norwegian author Karl Ove Knausgård. They gained huge fame and notoriety due to the unflinching honesty and detail that Knausgård went into regarding his friends, family and the “banalities and humiliations of his life”; so much so that his wife suffered a nervous breakdown.
