About this deal

This is a very long post intended for those who wants to get this board, I have put in as much details as possible to have clear picture on this keyboard. So I am not exactly sure when this update was released, but I was tinkering about with the Keydous NJ80’s foam and stabilizers, then decided to update the drivers and firmware. So apparently an update was pushed that now allows you to edit the Fn layer. The keys you see in red are the keys that can’t be edited, so it’s quite a bummer that you can’t edit Fn + knob functions… But for the rest, you can edit, and I do think that this allows for some sweet macro capabilities, if you are into that sort of thing. For me, I am just going to add more media controls to the row below the knob. Sweet, sweet typing A ‘sleeper car’ blends into traffic but hides a roaring engine under the hood. The NJ80 might be called a sleeper keyboard.

Turn left to decrease volume and turn right to increase volume. Press down to mute and press again to restore volume.

Switch options: Hotswappable, Gateron Pro Milky Yellow, Kailh Box Red V2, Kailh Box White, TTC Gold Pink, TTC Speed Silver Keydous claims the NJ80’s 4800mAh battery offers up to 28 hours of battery life with RGB on, and up to 90 hours with the RGB lighting off. In my testing, I didn’t find any reason to refute Keydous’ claims, as I never had the NJ80 die on me when I was using it. If you want to factory reset the NJ80, you can do so by pressing and holding Esc, Left Ctrl, F12, and the right arrow key for 3 seconds. Mac Compatibility I must say I am not entirely convinced by this keyboard’s included accessories. The rubberized cable is pretty drab, although it does match the color of the keyboard. A sleeved cable would have been a lot nicer. Keydous did throw in a cable tie to help you with things, and there’s also a keycap puller and a switch puller. Yes, the Keydous NJ80 does support hotswappable switches. Appearance Use the FN key in combination with other keys to switch between Bluetooth, 2.4g, and wired mode, adjust volume, mute, and perform other functions.

Keep the Bluetooth receiver away from WIFI signal sources, handle the keyboard gently when inserting and removing the shaft body, and store the keyboard in a cool and dry environment when not in use.

Use the original charging cable to connect the USB port of the computer for charging, and the charging current should be less than 1A. Apart from using the software, there’s a whole host of functions you can use to change into different lighting modes on the NJ80. Curiously, some models seem to be missing the ‘sleep’ function. While you might be tempted to use the Keydous NJ80 without a USB connection to your PC, you actually need one, if you want to customize the keyboard via the software. The software is very limited, with most of the options available on the keyboard itself, but you can reassign all the keys on the Keydous NJ80, with the exception of the volume knob and Fn key. The volume knob can only adjust the volume and mute it with a press.

Accessories: Extra Spacebar (Blue, White), Extra Esc Key (Milky white), Extra Enter Key (Milky white) Mac layout keys (Opt, Cmd), Extra Knob (Either Red, Blue or Silver), Keycap puller, switch puller, USB-C Cable (1.5m), 2.4G Dongle, Phillips head screwdriver and user manual (in Mandarin).I had to buy a wireless keyboard since my cat kept biting the cable and keycaps to my previous keyboard. The NJ80 has been amazing so far! Mở thiết bị cần kết nối Bluetooth (chẳng hạn như điện thoại di động, máy vi tính), chọn BT5.0KB (với Win7 thì chọn BT3.0KB)

I do wish the volume knob was remappable as well, but alas it’s not. Being able to use the knob in applications like Photoshop or Premiere would give it a wide range of uses which would’ve turned the Keydous NJ80 into a productivity consideration.

Right from the get go, the Keydous NJ80 feels like a true premium product. Essentially, it’s a relatively compact 75% wireless keyboard with a clean, minimalistic design. It has a unique milky colorway with a dash of blue and yellow that’s really pleasing to the eye and feels like a great fit for a warmer, retro setup. Besides the beautiful color, the keycaps are made from really high-quality PBT plastic and have sharp, minimalistic font, and a really comfortable, uniform profile. FN + | = switch lamp effect mode (light waves, ripples, raindrops, serpentine, follow, aggregation, sine wave, Colorful springs, flowers, laser, peaks, and turns, colorful vertical and horizontal, breathing, neon) The fact that much more expensive, mass-market keyboards have worse feeling space bars shows the care Keydous put into perfecting each NJ80 they make. Software F12 button for battery indicator: low battery for red breath. When charged, it breathes green; when full, it turns to its original color.
