About this deal

Another downside of the Plantronics Voyager Bluetooth Headset is its short charging cable. You’ll also have to buy the charging case and stand separately, so you’ll need to factor that in as you’re comparing prices. Streaming my music from my phone is a continuous and enjoyable experience - loud if I want to (I'm constantly at a shop floor factory), vs headset 2 streaming: choppy, low and randomly interrupting music with moments of silence... Unlike other headsets ofits kind, with the Plantronics Explorer 50 you can connect to and answer calls from two separate smartphones. As well as this you can stream things like music and GPS directionsfrom your phone, via Bluetooth and integrated A2DP,straight to your headset.

One popular feature with some headsets is the busy light. Instead of trying to guess whether you’re on a call or not, your friends and coworkers can just look for the red ring, which lets them know not to disturb you. Volume and talk buttons are where I expect them to be and are easy enough for even MY fat fingers to manipulate with confidence. It works for me. In 2017 I decided to evaluate bluetooth headsets. Using my own money, I bought six different headsets to use and evaluate. Connects with either or both phones consistently. Again, this is really important to me. The runner up headset (not the Plantronics) I was trying would connect flawlessly with the first phone, but was iffy about connecting with "Phone 2". The Plantronics NEVER had that problem. To the point where I bought TWO MORE Explorer 50s to test that theory (May 2018) - and THEY always connect, too. So yeah, this works better than most of the other units I've tried, which is why this one wins. The first thing you’ll do when you get your new headset is pair it with a computer or mobile device. As long as your device supports Bluetooth connectivity, this should be fairly easy. One benefit to the Plantronics Explorer 50 Bluetooth Headset, though, is its automatic setup. You’ll get whispered instructions to walk you through the setup process, making it easy for those who don’t want to deal with figuring out how to pair manually. This is your exclusive remedy for a defective Poly product that is covered by this Limited Warranty. Unauthorized use of common carrier communication services provided by another company/third party accessed through the product; The battery life was very good for me. A full charge was always achieved within what feels like an hour or less. Then I would get "11" hours of talk-time according to the headset and a few times I tried to run it down and I felt like I got about 10 or so hours of actual use (not standby) before I got a low battery warning). I could usually go 2-3 days between charges on this thing before it got down to "3" hours of talk-time and that's when I would re-charge it. During the charging process, the LED indicator on the headset should light up, indicating charging. If the red LED does not light up, try using a different USB cable or power source.

Put on the headphones and turn them on. The pairing process will begin for the first time. You will hear "pairing" and the indicators on the headphones will flash red and blue. If you plan to use your headset both for music and phone calls, the Plantronics Voyager Bluetooth Headset will be the best choice for you. The sound quality is clear enough to enjoy tunes between calls. This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. To return faulty items see our Returning Faulty Items policy. Put on the headphones and turn them on. For the first time you do this, the pairing process will begin. You will hear "pairing" and the indicators on the headphones will flash red and blue. When the headset maximum volume is reached (volume button only goes Up, then it goes to the lowest setting and starts again), headsets 1 and 3 play 3 beeps followed by a nice voice message ("Volume Maximum"). Headset 2 just plays 2 very low beeps. Nothing in this warranty modifies or excludes your legal rights under the Australian Competition and Consumer Act or the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act. The battery does last a good while on a single charge, though while it claims 11 hours, and i haven't timed it personally, it certainly feels a little less than that, at least after a few dozen recharges. You'd have to pry it open to replace what i presume is a button cell inside. Battery life - AS ADVERTISED. This thing runs for 11 hours. And has. FOR A YEAR AND FOUR MONTHS, being charged from pretty much any micro-USB I could get my grubby little mitts on. 1A, 2A...this thing just keeps charging and keeps working for me. I cannot stress how important this is for me -- for the unit to be able to charge from pretty much any micro USB, from wall, to computer, to car...doesn't matter. The port hasn't gotten buggered up the way some of my other headsets and phones have, so, however it works, I like it.
