About this deal

Stay on top of your game with the flagship HDJ-X10 over-ear headphones. Refined with input from professional DJs to serve you at festivals, clubs and everywhere in between, they’ll change the way you experience music. Producing high-resolution sound ranging from 5 Hz to 40 kHz thanks to a new 50mm driver, they’re ideal for DJ monitoring, delivering clear left and right channel separation as well as greater separation of rich bass tones and crisp mid to high frequencies. The polyurethane leather ear pads and headband cushion are resistant to deterioration thanks to the use of nano coating 2, so you can easily wipe off sweat and dirt.

Designed for comfort through periods of extended use, the Pioneer DJ HDJ-X10 headphones are great for people who will be spending several hours in action. Conclusion I liked the comfort and sound of the HDJ-X10 so much that I use it both in and out of the DJ booth. V-Moda M-100 Master– Also featuring great build quality and HD driver, these superb headphones have been tuned to sound more lively than the X10. Once you’re sure that your new headphones are durable and comfortable to wear, you need to ensure that they’re going to sound great. If you loved the sound of the previous HDJ-2000MK2s, then you’re in for a treat here. Although some components of the HDJ-X10 DJ headphones might look a little cheap or flimsy in places, you certainly don’t get that impression when you’re holding these items. Although some people won’t appreciate the largely plastic build of the Pioneer DJ HDJ-X10, it’s worth remembering that this doesn’t make your headphones any flimsier, or less effective.

Pioneer DJ released a full series of headphones with the HDJ-X10. The HDJ-X series include the X5, X7, and X10. Pioneer designed these headsets to replace the last line of HDJ models. As any pro DJ or music master in training will agree, standard DJ headphones are rarely enough for mixing and music management. You need something more accurate, robust, and reliable if you’re going to make the most of your career. The Pioneer DJ HDJ-X10 headphones are the world’s first DJ headphones to produce high-resolution sound ranging from 5 Hz to 40 kHz When connected to our flagship TOUR1 set up or the NXS2 set-up, you can experience up to 96 kHz/24-bit high-resolution audio reproduction with superb clarity and sound separation. And in another world first for DJ headphones,3 the ear pads and headband on the HDJ-X10 model are protected from sweat and dirt by water repellent nano coating. This means you can keep your headphones looking fresh and easily prolong their lifespan with regular cleaning. Headbands are typically where DJ headphones break, and the Pioneer DJ HDJ-X10 has a flexible and resilient headband that won’t snap in two, even if you twist it around or wring it like a sweaty DJ’s towel. It just won’t break! That’s great news, especially for heavy-handed DJs like me who have already broken headphones this way (went through two pairs of Beats headphones at gigs, if you wanted to know). The Top to bottom imaging isn’t quite as accurate as left-to-right, but it still comes with plenty of depth to explore. On top of that, you get a comfortable design suitable for all-day wear, and durability that offers complete peace of mind.

Sound quality is often the first thing that DJs think about when buying a new set of headphones. However, you won’t be able to get the most out of your investment if you can’t bear to wear your new cans. The use of polyurethane leather complete with nano coating helps the headband and cups repel dirt, sweat and liquids. Both the headband and cups feel well padded. Weighing in at just 328g, the X10 headphones are great for extended listening sessions. The Build Quality The Pioneer DJ HDJ-X10 headphones are lightweight, but not so much that they feel cheap or flimsy. These headphones are predominantly made with plastic, with an ear cup and headphone design that evolves from the previous HDJ-2000MK2. In a general sense, the Pioneer HDJ-X10 headphones have a very modern sound. There is a boost around 12kHz that gives the high frequencies a particular crispness. The high frequencies have space and air which I think pushes these headphones into a higher quality of headphone overall. Sound Stage Probably one of the biggest differences between the Pioneer DJ HDJ-X10 and the items that came before it is the extremely wide soundstage that you get with this new investment.

The HDJ-X10 headphones are equipped with our new 50-mm high definition driver, making them the world's first DJ headphones to reproduce high-resolution sound from 5 Hz to 40 kHz. The direct drive structure, with a newly developed diaphragm shape and voice coil, delivers high quality sound without loss of quality due to mechanic loss. Something that makes the sound stage feel even more impressive with the Pioneer DJ HDJ-X10s is the excellent isolation they provided. The mids and highs are quite similar between the HDJ-X10 and HDJ-2000MK2, and if there are differneces then they are subtle enough for you not to her a marked difference when auditioning the two headphones. Pioneer recommends items like the CDJ-2000NXS2 for this, but you can look around to find out what works best for your kit.

Compared to previous products like the HDJ-2000MK2 which acted as inspiration for the HDJ-X10s, there are some things you might miss from the older products. The slimmer form factor of the 2000MK2 DJ headphones will be more appealing to some.

The professional standard

Built with 50mm HD drivers, the HD-X10 was the worlds first DJ headphone to r eproduce high-resolution sound from 5 Hz to 40 kHz (V-Moda Crossfader M-100 Master also now feature high resolution audio). The 32 Ω impedance allows the phone to be easily driven by a phone, laptop or DJ mixer, easily reaching 102dB of volume at its peak. However despite its loud volume, the X10 remains incredibly balanced with just a slight boost the lows and highs. Another massive bonus of the HDJ-X10 is that you get incredible noise cancellation and isolation included. Compared to many of the other DJ headsets on the market, the Pioneer DJ HDJ-X10 has some of the best isolation you can find. There’s absolutely no way that you’re not going to be able to concentrate on your music when you’re wearing these cans. The polyurethane leather ear pads and headband cushion on the HDJ-X10 headphones are resistant to deterioration thanks to the use of nano coating, a world first for DJ headphones, so you can easily wipe off sweat and dirt. The HDJ-X10’s do not lose any sound quality because of mechanical loss, this is due to the diaphragm and voice coil working perfectly in harmony, whilst the 4-core twisted-structure headphone cable ensures you are getting flawless left and right channel separation. When using the X10s with a TOUR1 or NXS2 set-up the headphones really come into a league of their own, giving you high-definition 96 kHz/24-bit audio with amazing clarity so you can monitor better than ever before.
