About this deal

The plot is simple; it's Bugs Bunny's 50th birthday, and he's been invited to a party by his fanclub as a guest of honor. Unfortunately, the other Looney Tunes ensemble get word of Bugs' party and decide to go out of their way to keep Bugs from going to it purely out of jealousy. Bugs is this forced to endure several levels of platforming hazards, enemies and then fight each of the Looney Tunes to make it to his party. Circling Birdies: When Bugs gets hit, stars spin around his head for a few seconds, rendering him unable to use his hammer.

Seesaw Catapult: Bugs can stand on one end of a seesaw and use his hammer to hit the other end, causing the seesaw to launch him into the air. Firstly, you need to put 3 x AA batteries inside the ‘cake’ as these do not come included. You’ll need a screwdriver for this. The Nerd: (sarcastically) Wow, how awesome could this be? Bugs Bunny's Birthday Blowout. Well, it was a blowout, alright. BLOW OUT YOUR ASS! The game is a typical side-scrolling platformer in the vein of Super Mario Bros., made as part of Bugs Bunny's 50th anniversary celebration at the time.

Items that are not available in store will take 3-5 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) to be delivered to your nominated store.

Covers Always Lie: Porky Pig pops up on the games cover, even though he's not present at all in-game, not even as a cameo. This was presumably a holdover from the fact that Porky was planned to be in the game at one point, but was cut. The gameplay is as simple as possible. You collect Warner Bros. squares (which are converted in Bugs' preferred currency, carrots) and bash enemies with your wooden mallet, Looney Tunes style. There is also a fun bonus round after every level in which you can get some extra lives. It seems that the party was organized very far away from Bugs' home, as you get to traverse many different 'stages' throughout the game, such as forests and deserts. There are six stages in total, which are further divided into four separate rounds each. Each round does not take a lot of time to complete, including the boss fight, which is ideal for younger players (which the game was targeted for). The Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout' for the NES, first released in 1990, on the 50th anniversary of everybody's favourite Looney Tunes character Bugs Bunny, is a rather simplistic 2D platformer similar to Super Mario Bros. 2.

Help Bugs Bunny get to his 50th birthday party in this fun side-scrolling platform adventure game! Use Bugs Bunny’s mallet to defeat various enemies in Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout! Collect hearts and keep Bugs Bunny’s HP high as he tries to collect as many carrots as possible along the way.

Mercy Invincibility: You have this, but as long as it's active Bugs can't use his hammer to defend himself. Excuse Plot: Bugs Bunny is going off to celebrate his 50th birthday, and the other Looney Tunes are (seemingly) jealous and go out of their way to sabotage it. The game is easy to set up and doesn’t have too many pieces which can go missing; the cake base and five candles and instructions are all that you get in the box. The Nerd: Yeah, this game's really a no-brainer. (takes a swig of Yuengling, then Bugs Bunny shows up at the door and he promptly spits out his Yuengling) OH MY GOD!!! IT'S BUGS BUNNY!!! Items that are not available in store will take 3-5 working days to be delivered to your nominated store.

Kaizo Trap: There is one part where you can get killed by a football thrown by Taz after you defeat him if Taz throws one before he is defeated. The Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout, known in Japan and on the title screen as Happy Birthday Bugs ( ハッピーバースディ・バッグス) and in Europe as The Bugs Bunny Blowout, is a platform video game developed and published by Kemco for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990. Are you ready for a yummy-licious birthday party? In the Maryoku Yummy: Birthday Blow-Out game, you get to join Fij Fij and his friends for a super fun birthday adventure. This is a game filled with bright candles, tasty cake, and lots of birthday wishes! Once the batteries are in, place the five plastic candles inside the holes in the top of the cake. Press the ‘on’ button.

The mallet is a nice weapon, but their were times during the game when I wished Bugs also had the ability to collect items to use as projectiles. Every time you start the game you forced to watch the entire introduction sequence. It is a nice sequence, but having to watch it every time you start the game, can be tedious. My four year old could do it but my two year old couldn’t, so bear this in mind if your child has younger siblings that may want in on the game; it is aimed at 4+ and this is probably the minimum lung-capacity wise! The Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout' is definitely a disappointment for me considering it is a licensed game. It settles for mediocrity, maybe with the excuse of targeting a younger age group. However, for an NES game, it is not without its redeeming qualities, however few they may be. They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays. A Looney Tunes opening spoof with a MIDI version of the iconic Merrie Melodies theme is shown, then we see the Nerd finding his shirt, then putting the pens in the pouch, putting his glasses on, going to the fridge and getting out a bottle of Yuengling, taking a swig of it, then looking through his NES collection and pulling out The Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout .)
