About this deal

Wrong Number, this book left me with a smile on my face, chuckling at the witty banter and looking forward to the next book in the series. What follows is a one-night stand that morphs into friendship, a dating app, lots of witty banter, attraction, chemistry, tacos, and one heck of a journey!

The attraction between them doesn’t go away but they want to maintain the friendship they have built and not ruin it by falling into bed together again. i knew from the moment jack forcefully broke hallie up with alex BEHIND HER BACK i wasn’t going to like the ending. But when she logs into the dating app to look for new love, she finds none other than Jack: the guy whose hotel room she'd snuck out of. I am way too self-conscious and anxious to put myself out there on an app and meeting people who are kind of strangers and trying to make small talk, sounds mentally exhausting.

Quick correction: they met a day before where Hallie works as saleswoman at jewelry story ( yes, she works at two part time jobs, taking a break from corporate taxes which can be understandable! on top of that, while there were moments when this was funny and even charming, it wasn't ever close to enough to overcome the terrible beginning or how unlikable our main characters are. There’s also a speed-dating event in this as well, that gives plenty of opportunities for laughs and awkward getting-to-know-people moments.Painter’s cute adult debut (after the YA novel Better Than the Movies) features a couple whose chemistry via text message complicates their IRL relationship. hallie piper was just as bad– somebody needed to yell at hallie kenji kishimoto style and tell her to grow the fuck up. Hallie suffered a painful break up some time ago and when she finds herself crawling out of a hotel room after sharing a few bottles (and lots of other things) with handsome Jack, a guest at a wedding she was bartending for, Hallie designates it as her rock-bottom.

during the end of the book he was the most spontaneous he’s ever been but MIRACULOUSLY it doesn’t matter.Hallie agrees and the two have an amazing night of flirty fun and even more once they get back to his hotel room. I don’t always enjoy a rom-com where the two main characters converse a lot of text messages, but in this case, I didn’t mind. They text each other about their dates, often scheduling them at the same restaurant so that if things don’t go well, the two of them can get tacos afterward.
