About this deal

Since 1947, the mysterious crash of an unidentified aircraft at Roswell, New Mexico, has fueled a firestorm of speculation and controversy with no conclusive evidence of its extraterrestrial origin -- until now. He said in his memoirs that he hoped his book would help prepare Humanity for any hostile alien presence. What could have been a descent book was rendered completely unenjoyable by the author's constant self aggrandizement. If you're looking for good alien crackpottery, you can find many books filled with crap much more interesting than anything in this one -- with one exception. You must keep in mind that we are talking about the Government, and they have never really been accused of being totally efficient.

he doesn't think disclosure will help humanity or that the government is overstepping some boundary by lying and manipulating its citizens. i will also say that, personally, i was hoping for more information on the roswell crash and the local coverup itself. The majority of the book is an account of Colonel Corso's claims that he was assigned to a secret government program that provided some material recovered from crashed spacecraft to private industry (without saying where the items came from) to reverse engineer them for corporate use. He was assigned to President Eisenhower's National Security Council, advising the president on matters relating to Roswell, UFOs and EBEs. The foreword did not mention anything about UFOs, since Thurmond had assumed the book was a straightforward memoir.

With a prologue by Senator Strom Thurmond, for whom Corso worked as an aide following his military service, his great UFO classic has enough to persuade even the most adamant skeptic that UFOs are a fact but that aliens have proven to be an existential menace. A lot of our technology was reverse engineered by things they found on the downed craft in Roswell, including night vision and micro chip technology etc. Laying bare the United States government’s shocking role in the Roswell incident—what was found, the cover-up, and more— The Day After Roswell is an extraordinary memoir that not only forces us to reconsider the past, but also our role in the universe. I certainly do not believe the information disseminated to the public by the various governing agencies involved in the Roswell incident.

his description of how secret knowledge is encrypted in governments lines up with accounts given by others with access to classified documents. And as with anyone who has worn a uniform and served to protect, he deserves the gratitude and respect of every American. While Corso's account is not to this magnitude, there does seem to be a larger than necessary amount of chest puffing. Publishers Weekly advised, "[Corso's book] is only for the few special libraries that have made documenting the unconventional a collecting priority.
