About this deal

Wrapper is creased with fading to spine and a couple of edges; some tears with tape repairs; a little loss. Noddy Loses His Clothes; Noddy and the Naughty Toys; Noddy Makes a Mistake; Noddy Wins a Prize; Noddy and Jimmy Giraffe. Remember, the journey through a book series is not just about reaching the end but also about the memories created along the way. It is said that Enid Blyton took inspiration for Noddy from the village of Studland in Dorset where she would holiday virtually every summer. Octavo yellow pictorial boards (rubbed to tips) (12pp) A few wrong creases but these still pop-up correctly.

Again they are undated but the spines are just that bit squarer suggesting they are more modern, again perhaps 70s or 80s. The first title Noddy Goes To Toyland was first published in 1949 by Sampson Low, and the last Noddy and the Aeroplane was published in1964.

He certainly doesn’t intend to go traipsing about the whole of Toyland looking for them, no, Noddy can just make do with using the Tootles’ old horse that they left behind.

After an unfortunate crash with Big Ears the horse bolts, and leaves Noddy without even a sneezy mode of transport. Noddy being associated with small children's reading has led to "Noddy" being sometimes used as an adjective meaning "petty or trivial" (compare with " Mickey Mouse"), for example, in computer programming: " This simultaneous linear equation subroutine crashes out on the Noddy case when n = 1, but otherwise it works. After Beek's death in 1953 the original style was maintained by illustrators Robert Tyndall, Peter Wienk, Mary Brooks and Robert Lee. Brilliant communication from the seller, item was in amazing condition especially for how old the book is! Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places. They have almost the exact same cover design as the hardbacks, though they are slimmer volumes and also narrower and shorter. Some multi-story buildings start with the roof, which is then raised on hydraulic jacks, and the story beneath is built, and then the roof is raised again, and so on.

The other toys can hear him coming by the distinctive "Parp Parp" sound of his car's horn and the jingle of the bell on his blue hat. These little books were packed with Enid Blyton’s classic characters from Noddy and Big Ears adventures in Toy Town.
