The DDJ-FLX6 can be confusing to toggle between the effects in the effects channel, and you need to reference your laptop to see which effect is active. The aesthetic is slightly different to the Mixtracks (the NS4FX is lighter grey, and the pads glow white, not red), but it retains all that marks the Mixtrack Pro FX and Mixtrack Platinum FX out from lesser budget controllers, such as the long-throw pitch controls, weighted jogs, and separate looping controls. A dedicated loop section with multipliers on each deck grants quick access and control over seamless loops to extend mixes or craft custom transitions. Any item found to be defective through faulty materials or workmanship will be replaced or repaired, (at our discretion). The high quality, touch-sensitive jog wheels are expertly calibrated for precision mixing and scratching.By registering the supplied licence in your account with a particular software vendor you are creating a permanent record of ownership so please be advised to make a note of your login details at the time of registration. The NS4FX boasts an impressive array of connectivity options, making it the perfect solution for mobile and event DJs as well as club jocks and livestreaming mixmasters. One of its closest competitors is Pioneer DJ’s slightly-more-expensive DDJ-FLX6 – this controller offers 4-channel functionality and control of Serato DJ Pro, but is less portable and lacks XLR outputs and center jogwheel displays.

The 16 Performance Pads offer limitless mixing possibilities with selectable pad modes including Cue, Auto Loop, Fader Cuts, and Sampler (additional pad modes can be unlocked by upgrading to Serato DJ Pro). Personally, I would’ve preferred the controller to be USB-powered – this makes one less cord to carry. Pressing the loop button quickly activates a loop, and there are options to halve or double the loop length below.
