About this deal

Jade and Prescott’s personal stories are gritty, complex, and just as (if not more) thought-provoking as some of the previous books in Blairwood University. The good thing is that they are never alone, because the other characters of the series comes into action and shows support.

Fortunately, the second and final installment will release in a few short weeks because I am desperate to find out what will happen next. I recommend readers interested in starting this duet to first look into the trigger warnings as Jade and Prescott’s story deals with a handful of sensitive subject matters.Heated arguments between the two turn into angry kisses and secret passionate hookups which honestly are the best steam Anna has written so far 🤭❤️‍🔥 Together they want to forget even if only for a moment and finding comfort in each other; it's so beautiful.

I’ve had this book shelved on Goodreads since July of 2020, so to say I was excited to finally get the chance to read it is an understatement. With over 6 million of the world’s best eBooks to choose from, Kobo offers you a whole world of reading. The group dynamics in this series is something I’ve come to look forward to seeing other than the MCs developing romance as there’s a genuine sense of friendship and support system. I can't count the number of times I've cried and laughed and everything in between while reading this story. I can’t wait to find out the truth and follow these characters as they face a demon and fingers crossed they manage to slay it! This book picks up right where part one left off at, and man, when this author wants to pack a punch, she definitely packs it.

I really enjoyed this story from start to finish though I did spend a lot of time wishing that jade would take certain things more seriously than she did. It could easily have been a heavy-set melancholic narrative but Doe carried comic relief amongst the cast of characters, witty banter, as well as uplifting moments all throughout. Both are broken under the surface, but won’t allow anyone in, as they are each just as stubborn as the other and don’t need to rely on anyone else. There was a lot going on in the book with Jade believing she had cancer, her mom having cancer, her dad being a dick, her being sexually assaulted and the whole bathtub thing which I’m still not sure what’s going on with that. Doe definitely has me looking forward to reading Kiss to Salvage to see how Jade and Prescott’s story will end. Anna definitely had you going in deep and well when it came to not only the emotional rollercoaster that was Jade and Prescott’s blossoming relationship. What she has been through has made her strong, independent and only lets people so close before she withdraws.

When our hearts got shattered and destroyed, we have all been waiting not so patiently to see where these two beautiful souls take us. Prescott and Jade hate each other, or that's what they think, cause the reality it's that these two are more similar than they think they are. The last chapter was very heartbreaking and after that cliffhanger I’m dying to read the next book and see how they’ll figure things out and face everything their going through. Her road to recovery isn't easy or pretty, but I think the author did a good job humanizing how brutal treatment is for a cancer patient.

This book starts right where the previous ended, that is Jade breaking her secret in front of her love, her brother and her best friend. She has a house she loves, a job she adores, and a ridiculously attractive “nemesis” who never seems to mind when she wins their favorite online game. These two bicker aallll the time haha most of the time they can't even be in the same room without it, more than ones I was smiling and giggling alone like a crazy person 😄🙉 They so badly want to hate each other but end up crashing into each other constantly, Prescott being Jade's brother's best friend and hanging out in the same friend group. Then you have Prescott who is addicted to pain killers, has a brother who died of cancer and a dad whose a dick along with a mom who is so emotionally abused by her husband that she doesn’t love her son properly. Some of the characters I already knew from previous books in this amazing series ❤ the two leads felt too real to be fictional and that makes my heart ache at the idea of saying goodbye 💔 I knew Anna was good at what she did because I'd read her books before, but I can firmly state that in this duology she freaking outdone herself!
