Each pad can be assigned any MIDI note number or MIDI cc message for use as MIDI trigger or toggle buttons. The Patch buttons on the Impact series control the patch navigation functions of the DAW, so you may need to save the plug-ins presets in your DAWs patch format, before you can use the Patch buttons on the Impact controller for patch navigation. The "pad learn" feature also allows you to select a pad then play the note or drum sound you want on the keyboard.
