The cloak piece can be removed over Cable's head and this opens up the figure a little more and gives you a variant look for cable on display. The boots alone feature some wonderful attention to detail from the sculpted laces, and all the little lines of stitching to the thick treaded soles.

I really dig the design on this one, as the back half looks a bit like the old 19th century black powder pistols. On the left is this classic version of Cable while on the right is the more modern looking Cable from the 2016 X-Men series. Cable was definitely the Wolverine or Spider-Man of the X-Force line as Toy Biz put at least one Cable in nearly every set. If I'm not mistaken, those two Cable variants came out the same time as Senyaka (a villain with a whip-cracking action feature) and Commando (I'm not sure if this was Crimson Commando; it had a firing projectile feature).I’m not sure if Hasbro got these ideas from any particular comic, but if they’re original designs my hats off to them, because they’re both pretty cool. This quality 6-inch Marvel Legends Series X-Men Cable figure features multiple points of articulation and is a great addition to any action figure collection.
