Molesey Carnival revived in Jubilee Year. (in 2020 it was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.). Molesey is a suburban district comprising two villages, East Molesey and West Molesey, in the Borough of Elmbridge, Surrey, England, and is situated on the south bank of the River Thames. The present St. Mary’s church built in the Early English style replaced the old fire-damaged church. The very successful Molesey Boat Club junior programme is run by our Head Junior Coach, Helen Taylor, supported by a team of fantastic coaches.

A great team of experienced coaches will lead you through the basics of crewed rowing but please note that both the Sculling Experience Week and Adult Learn to Row courses are run based on coaching availability, and the availability of spaces for progression into the Explore Group. Along with neighbouring Thames Ditton, East Molesey formed a part of the ancient parish of Kingston upon Thames, based at the historic All Saints Church, Kingston upon Thames. From 1933, the Urban District of East and West Molesey became part of the Esher Urban District, which was originally recommended by the Royal Commission on Local Government in Greater London (the Herbert Commission) for inclusion within the new ceremonial county of Greater London.
