About this deal

The list of flight simulator rudder pedals is awfully short but is expected to grow over the next few years. Even with limited choices, there is surely a set of pedals that will fit whatever simulation needs you may have.

I’m thinking about mounting them on plywood and the adding large rubber bumpers on the bottom, but I don’t know if that will work or if they will still slide around.Best Overall: Logitech G PRO Flight Rudder Pedals excel with their adjustable damping and superior customization. All is not well for Logitech’s offering, however, as the set of rudder pedals has its fair share of shortcomings. For starters, it has a dead spot around the center: nothing too major but definitely noticeable. Secondly, the range on the brakes is underwhelming. Logitech’s rudders have less brake range than Thrustmaster TFRP pedals which are roughly 40 dollars cheaper. Logitech’s G Pro Flight Rudder pedals measure 17.8 x 14.4 x 9.1 inchesand weigh 5.07 lbs. For an authentic flight experience, the set of rudder pedals features a self-centering mechanismand differential braking system. While the former’s name gives it away, the latter deserves some further explanation. Differential braking enables users to control the left and right toe breaks independently, hence giving them greater control over the aircraft’s motion. Other notable features of the G Pro Flight Rudder Pedals include, but are not limited to: How about a Plywood base, with one of these attached to the bottom, to “GRIP” the Carpet. gorillagrip.com Original Premium Chair Mats

Overall, nothing wrong as far as compatibility is concerned; 5/5 for compatibility. Comfort and Conveniencebut the rudder is behaving strange in meaning of over steering. When doing a normal taxi roll, it seems that they are working alright, but when I accelerate during take-off roll, just a little pressure will make the plane go crazy and yawing in all directions (all planes). This is leading into an uncontrollable aircraft state and most of the time ends into to crash. If you’re looking to upgrade your build, you won’t be disappointed with Thrustmaster’s second entry on the list. While it may be expensive, you definitely get what you pay for. For example... there are settings for “throttle 90%”... “full throttle 1”... etc. just a thought. This largely depends on your usage and budget. High-end rudder pedals usually offer more precision, better build quality, and more features, enhancing the realism of your flight sim experience. However, there are also budget-friendly options that provide good performance for their price. Final Verdict One strange omission from this set is the ability to adjust the tension. While the default tension is fine, it's definitely something to keep in mind for those who want complete control over their simulation equipment. Thrustmaster also offers calibration software to customize the TFRP's performance. You can adjust the TFRP to change where the dead zones are, or eliminate them altogether. You can also alter these settings separately for each axis of movement.

I've used XP11 and Now XP12 and also MSF 2020. XP12 is very good for realistic training/radio work and allows… Edit: I just noticed you said carpet. If you don’t care that it might pull up some fibers when you remove the tape, and you want the pedals to be semi permanent, I would go for the carpet tape. I have repeatedly written to Microsoft support without getting a response. Have you experienced the same thing?

For our value selection, you can't do much better than the Thrustmaster T.Flight Rudder Pedals, or TFRP. Weighing at just under 5 pounds, the construction consists of steel and aluminum, which makes for a rugged piece of plastic. Compared to the other two pedals on the list, the TFRP Rudder Pedals are angled towards you, which allows for comfortable, albeit less realistic flying. The heel rest can also be removed, allowing you to control the rudder with different parts of your foot. Again, it's not the most realistic flying position, but it's perfect for staying comfortable during long flights. To me it feels like the simulator is internally somehow counteracting or amplifying the rudder inputs, leading to increasing oscillations. I don’t have this issue in other simulators such as DCS. To me, this looks like a bug in MSFS.

These entry-level pedals are great for anyone who doesn’t want to spend too much on their first build. While you’ll eventually want to upgrade to a higher-end set, the TFRP’s will enhance your flight sim experience—especially if you have other Thrustmaster accessories.I have also written to Logitech support, who at least answer my questions and try to find a solution. Moreover, the Saitek Smart Technology programming software enables gamers to customize their controls, enhancing the immersion of both flight and space sims. As for its physical size, it measures a comfortable 1.8 meters in cable length, striking a nice balance between flexibility and space efficiency. Despite these advantages, one may need to creatively anchor it down due to it requiring a bit of force during use. Additionally, the spring inside can be a tad bouncy even at lower tension settings. For the most realistic experience, go for the pedals that most closely resemble the aircraft you enjoy flying the most. Comfort
